Toni

Toni is a native Austinite who is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and continued her formal education at Austin Community College and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, working toward a degree in Sociology. Toni found the need to continue her education in the Cosmetology industry where she received her Professional Cosmetology training from Vogue Beauty College in Austin, Texas, and became licensed by the State of Texas in April 1991. She has trained under many pioneers in the beauty industry such as Tommie Wicks, Mittie Bolden, Minnie Mann, and Dr. E.M. Pease. Toni is also a member of National Beauty Culturist League and the Hair Designer's Guild. In 2004 she competed in Las Vegas, NV, and won the title of the National Hair Weaving Queen. With 20 years of licensed experience Toni has continued to further her education in the cosmetology industry with companies & salons such as OPI, Armstrong McCall, Regis, Supercuts, & many more. In 2001 Toni opened her 1st salon known as Sharper Imagez Hair Designs. Over the years the small salon could no longer comfortably hold the growing cliental. In February 2008, Toni opened her 2nd full service salon which is today known as T's Sharper Stylez & Cutz, LLC located at 3330 Manor Rd, in Austin, Texas.

Toni specializes in hair weaving, hair extensions, & the importance of healthy hair & scalp. She continues to find ways to continue her growth in the industry. She also sponsors youth in the community through church, school, leagues, or individually to assist them in advancing in their education & personal growth.

If you ask Toni to describe herself she will simply say, "I'm just me. What you see is who I am, nothing fancy. Being raised in a family that worked really hard & owned businesses, I was taught to be appreciative of everything & everyone in life. Nobody has to do anything for you nor do they have to be good to you. I know where I came from & where I could be. I know who I am & whose I am and my thankfulness, gratefulness, and joy is beyond words. I've come a long way in life & I've been blessed so if I can be a blessing to someone then I'm pleased."
